Hi all!

I am having a problem with my wireless connection and I hope someone can help me to solve it. I use Ubuntu 8.10 with the latest updates, in a notebook HP Pavilion dv2872. I use the internal wireless card that comes with the laptop.

It works perfect, the only problem is that i am in a community and a little far from the access point, most of the time the internet works fine, but sometimes it drops. My question is if there is any way to tell ubuntu, either gui or terminal to use a most powerful potency of the wireless antenna of the laptop and also, to make it more resistant to drops in the signal (i understand there is a way)... and well, also how to make those changes permanent...

Thanks!!
