gnome: when the application menu is open, shortkeys don't work anymore
Hi All,
my laptop has some special keys, start/pauze, stop, rewind, forward, volume down, volume up and eject. These keys work fine.
The above keys don't work when the applications menu at the top-left of the screen is activated.
Is there a way to let the special keys work when the application menu is activated?
My system:
Ubuntu 8.10 on a dell vostro 1710
Best regards,
Cedric

Re: gnome: when the application menu is open, shortkeys don't work anymore
I just noticed this behaviour on my laptop today. When any menus are open the Media and Fn keys don't work. I assume this is the 'normal' behaviour. I am just curious as to why this happens?
