    cutting video without recompression?

I posted a thread a while back asking how to crop mp3s without recompression, and people recommended mp3splt, which works great. Are there any similar tools for video? (I'm on Ubuntu Gutsy.)

edit: (on second thought, maybe I should have posted this in Multimedia Production?)

My favorite tool for both recompression and non-recompression work is Avidemux.

If you just want to crop, set both Audio and Video codecs to "copy".

Excellent, thanks! I have Avidemux installed already, but never realized it could do that!
