    I'm still waiting to see a pretty Qt theme..

    So answer is no, it shouldn't be any more standard toolkit than it is now. I'm very happy with current situation, people being able to choose between two available toolkits. I don't see any reason why this choice should be removed. If you like Qt better use KDE, if you like Gtk then use Gnome. Or mix them as you like.
