I have kind of a strange problem. I'm using ubuntu 8.10 that came using gnome. When I installed it the wireless worked right out of the box. It is set up on my home network. Then the next day at work I installed kde because I am not sure which environment I would like to stick with yet. It set up the wireless connection there without a hitch. That night I tried to get online in kde and was unable to. I cannot find any app that will show me the available wireless networks. I have tried wifi radar and whenever I try to open it nothing happens. Does anyone know what I need to do in order to view and connect to available wireless networks? I think I am leaning toward using the kde environment so I would like to be able to use the wireless internet that I have at home. Please help.
