The solved feature will be missed. Hopefully it can be enabled soon.
They are both non-essential plugins, I'm sure they will be back when u-g feels that they won't have the potential to exacerbate problems. As for the Thanks feature, we certainly hate making decisions based on a few bad apples, afaik there aren't any immediate plans to get rid of the Thanks feature for good. Right now they are disabled for stability purposes.

Re: Forum's Back up and running again

These forums are fantastic, and thanks to everyone who is keeping them running.

As the 'thanks' and 'solved' ideas were being discussed, it just occured to me that being able to mark a post as the 'solution' to a thread could take the place of 'thanks' and 'solved,' right?

Once there is a comment marked solution the thread state = solved, the poster of the solution comment is thanked.

Make it so the thread owner or a mod only can mark a solution comment. Just a thought.

Thank you so much for getting it up and running again. I am experiencing intermittent 503 Proxy or Database Errors - just fyi.

The "Solved" feature is a real time-saver for those that try to help, the sooner it reappears the better.

Well done all concerned in getting it all up again.

Same here, but it's getting noticed - as soon as the 502 proxy or database errors show up, they seem to be followed by the 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable error, meaning that it is being worked on.

Nonetheless, I am starting to hate the numbers 502 and 503.

I also experience issues with the forumdisplay.php script not showing proper post counts and whatever.

Keep up the work, and I hope to see all this resolved soon.

Re: Forum's Back up and running again

Thanks to U-G and all concerned for getting the forum up and running again.

Just in case no one else has noticed the search feature is also not working very well. I did a search not long ago about the thanks feature disappearing and nothing came up yet it was specifically mentioned in this thread. Because of this I asked the question in a new thread.

Thank you for letting us know k3lt01, I moved your other thread to this forum area and closed it since there are already other threads about the topic. You are not the first to do so
    Cheers.
