Alternative CD

I've heard about an "alternate CD" which enables you to fully encrypt your computer. I have a CD which I can live boot from and install Ubuntu with but how do I get this alternate CD? I went to the Ubuntu website but I can't seem to find anything. Am I being naive can I do the same thing with my CD?

http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download Look to the right column below the Green Download Now button where you may select the alternate cd. IIRC, to accomplish what you are wanting, you will need to use said alternate iso burned to cd. HTH.
