Re-install fail --> now Grub boot error 15

Hello,

I tried to re-install ubuntu over an old installation. This failed after 10 seconds because either the CD was badly written or the hard disc failed (it doesn't specify which one).

I tried to reboot into the existing install to burn the CD-image again but grub now gives an "error 15" on startup. I cannot burn the CD again from the live CD (which I am using now) because the live CD is in the CD-burner which I cannot take out while the live CD is running.

Could anybody help me fixing the grub error 15 so that I can log into the existing install to burn the install-CD again?
