how do I view an xps file?

At school I took the network+ practice exam. All computers at school are Windows machines. This practice exam generated 140 pages of data to help me study for the actual Network+ test. Instead of using up all this paper, I printed the data to an xps file, then e-mailed it to myself to review at home.

What program can I use in my ubunutu to open a xps file? Document Viewer failed. I thought for sure that it would have opened it.

after reading this, it appears that OpenOffice 3 won't be able to read it. (unless things have changed) in the future, you might want to save as a regular PDF to avoid this problem. xps is a windows only thing.

Damn looks like I'll need to use my XP VM. Any ideas on what XP poduct might convert it to a more friendly file format?

Re: how do I view an xps file?

If you are using KDE or don't mind installing the necessary libraries & dependencies, I understand the KDE viewer "okular" can render xps files. Probably best to research this a little first though it would be easy enough to uninstall if it didn't meet your needs.

If anyone has a small xps file I will try it on okular but according to wikipedia it is derived from ZIP

edit: wikipedia says okular can read it

You can convert your XPS file into an PDF by using an free online webapp. No need to install on your system. I have tried it and it works great!!
