Many of you might not have this issue, but i live in the country and the only reasonably priced form of internet comes as dialup. There really is no easy way to get a hold of the package and its dependencies if you want to download the files at a school or work computer onto a flash drive to take home to install until now. I have been working on Keryx which some of you may have seen in the January 2009's Linux Journal.
I'd just like to help get the word out so that users that have dialup or no internet at all can feel much better about getting updates and new applications for their computer. Give it a shot and let me know if you like it, improvements or bugs (there wouldn't be any of those would there )
I just released a new version today that uses wxWidgets. Unfortunately this means you will need to install 4 packages on Ubuntu before you can use the interface but soon I will be making an executable so you don't have to worry about this.
Hope you like it!
Chris
