Horrible GRUB issue (error 15) - MBP tripleboot. PLEASE help!

    Hi guys!

I'm having an absolutley HORRID time trying to re-setup my MBP to tripleboot OS X/XP/Ubuntu 8.10..

In a nutshell, I have sda2 as OSX, sda4=XP and have just installed Ubuntu to sda3.

The install seemingly went fine, but after I rebooted, updated the mbr using the rEFIt tool, restarted - I'm getting a "GRUB ERROR 15 : File Not Found"

I have tried rebooting from the liveCD and manually setting the boot flag for Ubuntu to "boot". Know I'm out of ideas.

In the bad old days of Ubuntu 6.06, I used to use LILO instead. I would dod that by chrooting into my Ubuntu install from the liveCD and installing it from there. I haven't done this for years though, and can't even find copy/paste directions..

I would like to get it sorted with GRUB. Though I tried Googling around and no solution has come up...

Anyone have any ideas? - this is bugging the **** out of me, as I *need* Windows (unfortunately) - so can't do with just a dualboot.

Cheers, and thanks for any responces in advance!
