No point in fighting it until dapper is released, many people are killing their current installations along with their F@H setups(thats my story at least).

I bet you're right about this one. I'll be making the transition as well here soon.

Find your name at TeamUbuntu individual User List, your total work units are in the last column. Also the F@H client itself outputs your total work units when it submits a finished one.

Yes, in the directory where you installed F@H, you'll find a file named 'unitinfo.txt'. It contains the progress. For example mine currently is

$ cat ~/FAH/unitinfo.txt
Current Work Unit
-----------------
Name: p2095_Protein
Download time: June 15 14:39:57
Due time: August 3 14:39:57
Progress: 52%  [|||||_____]

The logfile 'FAHlog.txt' also contains the percentage info.

There is a program called protien_think that gives you stuff like that in a GUI.
