arabic problem

I can not write in arabic in ubuntu 8 when I am trying to type and press key it writes another key
any ideas ?

System >> Administration >> Language Support

Then select Arabic ... Wait while it update your settings then

System >> Prefrence >> Keyboard
go to Layout Tab
select add Button (+)
add arabic
