Support is still not complete but I'm using Lucid on my Mini 12 since several weeks, look here for more info

From the wiki instructions for Lucid:

this command will add 'GMA500 PPA' repository and update database

    sudo apt-get install poulsbo-driver-2d poulsbo-driver-3d poulsbo-config
Since 3d is still broken wouldn't it be better to skip the "poulsbo-driver-3d" part and just type:

    sudo apt-get install poulsbo-driver-2d poulsbo-config ?

Installing the 3D package doesn't break anything and allows you to get the 3D to work as soon as the functionnality is released by just apt-get upgrade your system.

sound problem was solved on my machine in this way:
    * upgrade alsa to 1.0.22.1, you can compile it or upgrade through backports
    * add this line to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
    options snd-hda-intel model=dell

after this changes sound works fine, even after suspend/hibernate.

    hope it helps!
I don't see an upgraded version of alsa (1.0.22.1) in backports for karmic. Is there a ppa that you had to add first?

@pjman, I didn't find a repo, but here is a decent guide to install from source: http://monespaceperso.org/blog-en/20...ic-koala-9-10/

I'm going to upgrade my tablet from 10.04 to 10.10. What is the current status and is there anything that needs fixing to make it work (and that is not in the binary blob of course) ?

This thread is immensely long and I think I can spend my time better than reading pages and pages...

I remember there was an issue where Xorg crashed in our driver and has a workaround in the poulsbo-config, is that still pending ?

Yves - the wiki probably has the most stable info.

Also, there is another thread that seems to be updated quite often on progress: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1229345

    Good luck!

Smile Re: Installing on the Dell Mini 12

Just a note: I had a problem today when I updated my "pm-utils" package from 1.3.1 to 1.4.1 in "Update Manager". It broke suspend/resume and bluetooth.

So, I did a "reinstall" of the poulsbo stuff as follows:

    sudo apt-get install psb-kernel-source --reinstall
    sudo apt-get install poulsbo-driver-2d poulsbo-driver-3d poulsbo-config --reinstall

This seems to have fixed my suspend/resume problems and my bluetooth mouse now works.

    Ubuntu version: 10.10
    uname-a output: Linux wj-Mini-12 2.6.35-27-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Tue Feb 22 20:25:29 UTC 2011 i686 GNU/Linux

I hope this is useful to someone.
