    No input driver matching `evdev'

    I'm trying to get the touchscreen working on my Flybook using PlOP's penmountlpc driver, with partial success.

    I have made some progress by adding an fdi file into /etc/hal/fdi/policy as follows:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <!-- -*- SGML -*- -->
    <deviceinfo version="0.2">
    <device>
    <match key="info.capabilities" contains="input.mouse">
    <match key="info.product" contains="TouchScreen">
    <merge key="input.x11_driver" type="string">plpevtch</merge>
    <merge key="input.X11_options.Device" type="string">/dev/input/event9</merge>
    <merge key="input.x11_options.Calibrate" type="string">True</merge>
    <merge key="input.x11_options.MinX" type="int">50</merge>
    <merge key="input.x11_options.MaxX" type="int">900</merge>
    <merge key="input.x11_options.MinY" type="int">50</merge>
    <merge key="input.x11_options.MaxY" type="int">900</merge>
    </match>
    </match>
    </device>
    </deviceinfo>

    This works - lshal shows the correct driver, and the touchscreen works. However, when the touchscreen driver is loaded, the normal mouse and keyboard do not work.

    Here is my xorg logfile when the correct touchscreen driver is NOT loaded. In this case evdev tries and fails to run the touchscreen:

    Clearly the evdev module does exist.

    Can anyone give me any clues where to go with this next?

    Many thanks.

    Re: No input driver matching `evdev'

    I seem to be having the same problem. Too bad no one has found any solution for it. I'll keep looking.

    I've noticed that if I turn Calibrate to 'False' the touchscreen isn't working anymore, but the keyboard and mouse start working again!
