    Atheros wireless problem!

Hello...i'm definitely a newbie here. I recently bought a Compaq CQ50-139nr with an Atheros wireless card onboard. The wireless card is a restricted driver, and I cannot get to any wireless internet whatsoever! I'm not sure what to do. Can someone help!

In Ubuntu Intrepid you should see an icon on the gnome desktop on the top of the screen which you can click at.

There you can adjust in what way your system shall connect to the internet. By WAN or by LAN.

    Can you see it?

I know what you're talking about...but in the "wireless" tab, it gives me no options. In the "wired' tab, it comes up with something that says "Auto eth" or something similar to that.
