It really depends on the bug, they are more likely to fix bugs in LTS releases, but it still needs to meet the SRU requirements. I would say the biggest exceptions to this would be kernel version upgrades and Firefox upgrades that make their way into LTS releases. These provide better (and new) hardware support for web browsing security and functionality.

Re: Improving Ubuntu: A Beginners Guide to Filing Bug Reports

I ( A NEWBEE) just joined and am not fond of bugs TUVM for the post.

Thinking about installing lucid on my Studio XPS 435MT. I just want to say NO to Vista! Booted what I think is the 64bitt version from flash drive and all ready have wireless connection issues on the 1505 draft 802.11 Wlan mini card (From Broad Comm I think)

Have to say though I like this QS!!

I'm not even smart enough to ask any questions yet, unless U think it's a bad idea to go with lucid on this machine? So back to the net, the posts, & the books.
    Thanks again!

Re: Improving Ubuntu: A Beginners Guide to Filing Bug Reports

    Hi,
I have a doubt. My firefox icon is not showing the usual firefox logo, instead it just shows a small white pinned paper like thing on the panel. When I clicks on it, it opens the firefox browser but only the appearance of firefox button is changed. Its been there in lucid lynx also. But my karmic had proper firefox logo.Is this a bug? If so should I report through the bug filling form?
