This morning when I switched on my EEEPC it wouldn't boot into Ubuntu.
It said select enter boot device and hit any key. After hitting any key the same error would repeat.
So I switched on and off and hit F2 to check the boot order.
I switched hard drive to the first option.
Same problem.
So, I hooked up an external CD drive and booted from the Ubuntu CD. I choose the option "try ubuntu without making changes to computer" because I have some vewry important files on my computer that I cant afford to lose.
Now Ubuntu from the CD is giving lots of errors Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block 8102
There are several errors like the one above with different block numbers.
Please help! It's very important that I can retrieve the files from my hard drive!
