[SOLVED] Problem installing Google Earth - stuck at EULA!

    Hi,

    Just followed these steps -

Now copy and paste the following commands:
    Code:

    sudo wget http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/intrepid.list --output-document=/etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list

    Code:

    sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install medibuntu-keyring && sudo apt-get update

Now that you have the medibuntu repository, you can find Google Earth.

You can install Google Earth with Synaptic Package Manager or with terminal.
The command for the terminal is

    Code:

    sudo apt-get install googleearth

All was going well so went to make cup of tea On return was Google's EULA in the terminal window - appears to be incomplete and with no way of accepting or declining!

Obviously, I have no idea how to proceed. Is it safe to close the terminal window?

    Tim

If you are stuck at highlighting the "OK" option, use your tab key to navigate on that page then hit ENTER to accept what you have highlighted.

If you can't even see an "OK" option, that is another problem.

Closing the terminal would cause apt-get to somewhat break.
Try moving with the Arrow Keys or the Tab Key, once the OK button is highlighted Red press Enter.

Thankyou both - being a complete noob I hadn't thought of trying the tab key to navigate (only associate that with web pages)

    I now have Google Earth.

    Once again, thank you.

Great to hear. I believe you can also press the right arrow key to navigate across, I can't remember...

Also you can mark your thread as solved from Thread Tools at the top of this page
