    [SOLVED] Advanced programming forum

do you know of a good one without a specific cause. Maybe a computer science forum, I want to learn and help with advanced programming problems

    Re: Advanced programming forum

    EDIT: ops.. sorry..wrong thread...

anyway, any advanced programming forum are typically rather specialized, it is probably be better to look around the programming community.. for example, MSDN forums is pretty good for advanced windows programming and kde-devel mailing list for kde development.

    Re: Advanced programming forum

why did you post about kdenlive. although its off topic, it helped me, I have been looking for a video editor.

But no more posts about video editors, etc.

And I don't want a project specific forum

    Re: Advanced programming forum

honestly most advance forums i have seen are very hostile. and most wont help you if you havent made a honest effort yourself to find the answer.
what i notice here is the opposite everyone seem pretty much laid back btw why dont you post it here these guys/gals here probably can help you and they would be much nicer about it.

but here are some advance forums good luck

    Re: [SOLVED] Advanced programming forum

You can check StackOverflow. It is a general programming Q&A system. It has a different interface in that answers (and for that matter questions too) are voted and may be commented/edited by other users. The interface has quite a punch...

The only requisite for questions is that they are programming related. Some of the questions are beginners/general, while some are core-language or very specific on a particular system/platform/library.

As of now it is my preferred programming forum and the interface is really neat.

I'm looking for a forum like that. Namely for useless microoptimizations, but I tolerate algorithms talk
