[SOLVED] Firefox lost the minimize/maximize and close buttons

Kinda confused here, no clue why it lost them, last night it was fine. I didn't change anything or authorize any changes, just gone. I swore there was something under a menu that had a check box that said something like 'maximize on startup' but I can't find that anywhere. And to boot I don't know how to minimize it manually.
Oh, and the program/function bars that are normally visible are gone, but only with firefox open.

I think that toggles between Firefox having the whole screen and the menu bars re-appearing.

(Well - it does on mine !)

This happened to me when I used Compiz; when I disable the effects (which I really do not need) then everything is back to normal and firefox is behaving again.

FINDING the answer can be very difficult.

Note that you had your answer 6 minutes after describing your problem. That is the real joy of this system.
