    Gnome Shell Freeze

Just installed gnome shell, login fine, soon as I click on anything it opens and everything freezes except the mouse.

Only thing I can do is hit reset button or go to tty1 and Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

Gnome fall back work OK ???

3.8.2 (gnome3-team ppa) works without any issue

Well I'm getting tired of hitting that left side with the mouse in unity so I guess i will try the ppa like dino99 said, thanks.

Thats my choice because unity is not my cup of tea, and GS 3.9 has not so many extensions available right now (extensions.gnome.org)

I don't run a lot of extensions, but the ones I do use are important to me, e.g. the look n' feel.

I've been able to patch them for GS 3.9.1 by hacking the json file...

    Probably a good move!

"Staging" isn't for the faint_of_heart. LoL!

I am too , 3.9.1 seems to be fairly stable on my Compaq netbook, everything seems to work quite well except for screen dimming, it works when I press the keys on the keyboard, but not automagically, the way it does running Unity.
