Compiz Possibly Quitting Regularly

Sorry for the odd wording of the title, I'm not sure how else to word this.

For a while now everything on screen has suddenly froze, disappeared, and returned. Except when returned, the Dash button has suddenly turned blue and the whole dash has turned black and is no longer transparent. I can only assume this is a driver problem or a compiz problem. I'm sure it's compiz.

Psychedelic! No, but seriously, that looks like the high contrast theme? Are you using restricted drivers, and if so - are they up to date?

I've been using xorg edgers drivers for about a month now but the problem started way before even finding out about them.
