Webcam management software

I need some Webcam management sw. Where I increase brightness, contrast, switch on/off the led lights on the webcam

Please give me the URL where I can download and install this SW

Sorry, I don't know any but I just searched webcam in synaptics and it's giving me tons of results.

Search for it in Synaptic package manager. System >Administration >Synaptic package manager.

I installed V4l2ucp but was unsuccessful in get the right USB webcam to control.

If I try to open the start preview it exits with code 0

Any other suggestions pl. let me know.

Do you mean you have more than one webcam you are trying to control ?

Post the output of this command run in the terminal with the webcam/s plugged in..

Thank you for your reply, I was able to locate the web cam device from the I/p's you gave me.

But when I try to open that device in the utility Video 4 Linux I get an error -

p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; } Unable to open file /dev/bus/usb/002/002
Inappropriate ioctl for device

and the answer to your other question is I just have 1 webcam
