Howto Install 32 bit Firefox with Flash w/sound and Java for AMD64

The automated install seems to work fine for me but i have no menu option to run firefox32 and can't find anywhere in my file structure that would allow me to run it. Am i missing something obvious?

Same thing happened to me, the script went well and without errors, but at the end the firefox32 still wasnt installed. but finally i managed to install it seperatly using this: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FirefoxAMD64FlashJava
maybe after u will have to move the plugings to another directory, if u have problems ask.

It sounds like the install didnt install everything. Did you happen to take the script out of the folder it makes when it is extracted?
Did you make sure the universe and multiverse are enabled before installing anything?
If you run Kubuntu, did you install ia32-libs-gtk through Adapt?

ls -al /usr/lib32/firefox32/plugins yields

For some reason the chown, or who owns the files is messed up. This is easy to fix.

sudo chown -hR saru:users /usr/lib32/firefox32/plugins

ok, i did this

it asked for password,i input it, then returned nothing. after that i opened firefox 32, went to youtube and still flash wasnt working.

note: should i have cd to another directory before running that command?

No it has the path, it sounds like it worked since you ddnt get an error. Please enter

ls -al /usr/lib32/firefox32/plugins

again and paste the results here.

Please give me the version of Ubuntu you are using and the version number of the script you ran. Next, exactly what isnt happening, also please open a terminal, paste in

ls -al /usr/local/firefox32

and then copy/paste in the results to a reply here.

i used the other howto for firefox64 flash with the wrapper. worked great but i still want to get this right mainly for the java since i like playing go on kgs
