The guide isn't for Hardy. And, according to the author, Canonical claims that the steps should work with later versions. Here's a quote:Interested in checking out Ubuntu Linux, which is available as a free download, for yourself? Then here, courtesy of Canonical, is an easy, step-by-step guide to installing Ubuntu Linux, version 6.06. (Canonical says these steps should also work for later versions of Ubuntu.)

The guy is still lazy. How hard would it have been to just download the latest release and write a guide. There are a ton of guides out there already. This guy just wrote a rehash. Of course consider the source.
How about actually writing a guide instead of just posting screenshots of the questions you get asked?
Hmm. A guide is a good idea, but this looks like more sloppy journalism to me.

I don't think the word journalism should be used in this context, even alongside the word sloppy.
