Has anyone got any distro installed on the new 2013 Macbook Air? I have been attempting everything I know all day!
I keep getting hung on black screen with cursor, no cursor, or purple screen
Live CD Boots fine!

I'm having similar troubles.
Have you gotten wireless to work with the Live CD?
Very interested in this--will be acquiring one of these in the near future and hopefully we can get it running some Linux goodness!
I got a Macbook Air with the new hardware on Friday (6/21/13) & I'm having a similar issue while booting from a USB Live disk. Though, instead of a blank screen, I see error logs that appear to be CPU related. From looking around a bit online, it appears that there's still work to be done on Linux Haswell support (e.g http://www.pcper.com/news/General-Te...well-do-Ubuntu). So you may be stuck with OS X until then.
One thing I did notice is that when I connect or disconnect an external display via a Thunderbolt adapter, the error messages went away & I got the GUI back. Unfortunately this didn't get me all the way thru the install process.
I've gotten Ubuntu 13.04 to work fine in VirtualBox however.
Looks like someone had some luck installing a nightly build of 13.10:
http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...3_ubuntu&num=1
i'll give it a go tomorrow and report back.
I downloaded the latest mac ISO from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ last night and just tried it.
Installed fine - even seemed to find the network interface from the livecd in the installer, but then I couldn't get the installed ubuntu to load. It seemed to hang after the login screen. Further than I got before, though. I'll tinker around with it more in the coming days.
(For reference, I have the 13" i7)
It would be great to get some details on these machines:
Thanks!Code:sudo lspci -vvv > lspci-MBA.txt sudo lsusb -v > lsusb-MBA.txt
Done!
Couldn't attach the files (uploader complained they exceeded forum's filesize for txt), so dropbox links:

So the wireless device is the new BCM4360, and the trackpad is also new (hence no multitouch for now). Looks like the arch people made some progress with the wlan: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1292233. As always, it will be a while before everything works smoothly. Thanks for the info!
If you are interested in information about the new touchpad, you can follow the kernel bug 60181 (https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60181). I would suggest commenting on the bug to let the kernel input-driver team know it is of importance and helping with any logs that they may need to update the driver.
ArchLinux also has a thread following some of the touchpad details: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=165854.
