    Lost Mount point after reboot

    I am running Ubuntu Server (latest updated )on Vmware ESX 5.
    I have mounted 60 GB Disk , disk is working fine i have copied the data in Disk . However i found issue every time i reboot the server i lost my mount point for the disk mounted disk .
    - I ran MIBWalk to confirm that is true you can see the 60gb "/mnt/60gb" missing after reboot . I need to know if this is known issue ? or is there any fix for this to made that change permanent ?

    Thank you for the reply and link currently i am going through the details . i dont see the entry in fstab file for my 60gb disk . i have simply used fdisk and them mounted

    sudo mkdir /mnt/60gb
    sudo mount /dev/sdb /mnt/60gb -fl

    then i ran the mibwalk and find the disk is available under mibs . then i did sudo mount to verify the mount is available . is this correct way to mount ?

    Re: Lost Mount point after reboot

    GoldTipu;

    From the outputs provided you are using LVM device management on your server. I do not have the knowledge to advise on how to add the sdb as a volume to the volume group and mount that group, nor how to configure the physical space for LVM.

    Others will have to advise on this matter.
