[Howto] Install the svn Mplayer under Intrepid Ibex

Ah, nuts! Any suggestions? Any help greatly appreciated.

Try the following:

$ cd /home/dan/mplayer
$ make distclean
$ svn up

and then recompile starting from ./configure. Hopefully this will get you restarted .

Thank you kindly for your reply! I didn't know you had Jaunty instructions. They look about the same.

I made distclean on everything (x264 and amr weren't working) and removed my current x264 libraries which were not letting me install. This seems to have worked, Thanks! On to mplayer-plugin!

Great news! I have corrected a small issue with libopencore-amr by adding --prefix=/usr to the ./configure string as a default Ubuntu installation sometimes has problems with libraries in /usr/local.
