I would really like to add it into Xubuntu. I have got 2GHz processor and Intel HD 2000 and I think that Unity is too much for this configuration.

It seems it was working with earlier versions of Xubuntu but whether it still works doesn't seem clear ...

Those links: they are outdated. They link to files and imagest that no longer exist.
I think the processor is fine for Unity and memory and video card/chip would be deciding factors for running Unity.

Thread moved to Recurring Discussions.
No problem from my side but this highlights the need for posters to provide appropriate titles for their questions (and to word the questions appropriately).
To my mind, OP wanted to enable Unity's Global Menu in Xubuntu which is not a recurring discussion. Instead, the ways things went, we got a bunch of "my DE is better than yours" responses which certainly attracts the "Recurring Discussion" honor .
Suggestion to the original poster: why not install the standard ubuntu with unity...it's pretty mac osx like...with the global menu, top panel...dock bar (unity) though it is on the left side instead of the bottom...
And if you absolutely must have the dock on the bottom, then you can add the "cairo dock" to it which will create a cairo dock session which you can optionally log into...on there, there is a log in session that will give you the top panel with global menu and cairo dock on bottom and no unity (within that session)...
That would be the easiest way to go
From my experience.

QT is the future, it's far more powerful than gtk and looks a lot nice when done right.
To craig10x: Unity is too heavy for my spec. I already had it and there was no lack for lag.
