    ipod nano sync issues

    hi.
i'm totally new to linux, running ubuntu 12
trying to sync a gen 5 ipod nano with music off my machine, but struggling with any and all suggestions found on the web.
tried both banshee and rhythmbox (able to recognise device, but drag and drop ignored by software)
and tried spotify (unable to recognise the ipod whatsoever).

tearing my hair out trying to get this sorted.
any and all advice (in as basic a way as possible) would be greatly appreciated, and if any info is needed i'll do my best to provide it.
    cheers

    still nothing.
had an idea though, could it be to do with the way the ipod was formatted?
a friend did it for me on his mac.

Strange problem, Clementine works for me very well. One thing you can check is if you have ticked the box Enable disk use or something like that.

I used Clementine on my Mac, after I decided not to splash out on the cost of Cucusoft for Mac (I used Cucusoft in Windows)

    I have the same problem.
There is no software in ubuntu 12.04 that works to sync.
I try to create HashInfo and SysInfo files but it does not work!
    Any help?
