Yup, where I live it rains almost every afternoon if not more. We had the wettest July on record. Some days are like that though while other days the sun is killer hot.
I found this one and have been using it for a while:

Forgot the stormy wallpaper was on Quantal. Lol. Anyway that last one is the one I have on Saucy. I have too many systems on this pc to keep track of!
I love LTS versions but, keep the other ones to see what's new and also for the grub as it evolves.

I think that it called Conky and it should be available for 12.04. I certainly seen it being used for years.
