How to install ubuntu 12.10 side by side with mac os?

Hello every one,
I have a macbook pro, and I want to install UBUNTU 12.10 with mac os
I've tried every thing but I failed. So is there any chance that I can install it ?

I am not a Mac user, but here are the official documentation pages on doing this, in case you haven't come across them yourself yet.

They certainly look like they'd be helpful, especially the second link. However, the second link cautions on the top of the page that the information may be outdated for newer Macs. This link may prove more useful:

Thanx a lot, but my problem is my macbook pro was made in mid 2012 so all the three links are helpless in my case.
