You are right. I started Firefox in Safe Mode, and it works correctly.

So, sorry for the false alarm.

If it works correctly in Safe Mode, could it be that one of my add-ons is causing the problem?

    LOL
    Could well be.

Might possibly help to know which - which is easy if you have only a couple like me, only way I know of is to turn them off and check.

Aye. The only way to know is to enable them one-by-one and see which one causes the page to look funky.

    Well, now I'm utterly baffled.

I disabled all of my add-ons and plugins, even the Ubuntu ones, and restarted Firefox; I still get the problem!

But when I start Firefox in Safe Mode, it works correctly.

Do you have any clue as to how I can fix this? Do I need to start a new thread?

    Just my two cents ...

In the attached picture, you have the personal information about the poster at the left of the post, as a 'left column', while the default now is to have it at the top of the post, as a 'top row'. I have found a few bugs with the 'left column' setting, so I don't use it any more.

You're right: with the profiles on top, I don't have the problem.

However, my screen is wider than it is tall, so I'll probably keep the profiles on the left, even if I can't fix this little problem.

I have it on the left and I've not seen the issue you reported.

Edit - even with f/f shrunk to about 'this much' everything appears to be in the right place.

Yes, it's obviously something to do with my set-up, but I can't find what it is. It works when I start Firefox in Safe Mode, but not when I disable all add-ons and plugins; so what is causing the problem? I wish I knew!
