Card-reader on Acer Aspire 5110

Hello! The card reader does not seem to be working on a close-to-mint install of Ubuntu 8.04. I have no clue where to start with this, so what do i do to make it functional?

I am assuming you are talking about a built in card reader on the laptop.

Give us an lspci output and post here.

I will let you know that if it is a Ti 5 in 1 reader Ubuntu does not support xD cards for that particular model. SD cards work great. I bought a USB xD card reader and that works excellent.

Linux don't support XD in partcular in a cardreader? How odd. How come? I've only got XD cards, so this is a bit of a bummer!
