Ubuntu 10.04 uses Firefox as FTP program

    Hello,

My laptop is running Ubuntu 10.04, and i like it.

If i connect to an FTP server via Places > Connect to server,
the internal file explorer used to open.

Last week, i installed the Firefox 4 beta, and now Firefox opens
when i connect to an FTP server.

In Windows this would be the 'default program option', does anyone
know howto change this in Ubuntu, so it will use the internal
    file explorer for FTP again?

    Thanks!

    Marco.

I don't know how to set it to open Nautilus by default, but you can connect it in Nautilus by pressing ctrl+l to open the location bar.

In the location bar, just type the name of the ftp server. For example:
    ftp://192.168.1.101

If you need to enter a username, use this format:
    ftp://user@192.168.1.101

    Hope this helps.

If you want stuff done right, do it yourself.

I had the same problem. I found the following to fix the problem.
