Wink Ubuntu Homeserver Developments?

A few years ago Ubuntu Home server was in development, I wonder how it is progressing today - as I've heard nothing since!

Re: Ubuntu Homeserver Developments?

The website still appears on Google, but the project appears to have died some time ago.

Amahi is a Red Hat / Fedors community-driven home server which demonstrates how it could work. Unfortunately, support for an Ubuntu-version has not been forthcoming.

Re: Ubuntu Homeserver Developments?

To be perfectly honest. The Ubuntu server is what i use at home on my server. I don't see why we would need anything else. The only reason MS has a "Home Server" is to squeeze yet more money out of people. I have used the MS OS's and there are so many restrictions on them and i would really hate it if Ubuntu made a Server with restrictions on it just because it was a different version. Not the point of Ubuntu is it?
Sorry if that sounds a bit arrogant, it is not meant to be, just my thoughts.
