Moderators - How do you become one?

I've been a moderator on several Bulletin Boards and just wondered how you became one on Ubuntu? It would be a really nice thing to be and indirectly, you are doing something for UBuntu...

Moderators are invited here by the Admin staff. There is no application process.

Essentially, regular contributors who have a sensible approach to the forum are generally noticed and then invited in a biannual selection process.
