    How to disable trackerd?

    Hi,

I see in /tmp and with ps aux that trackerd is running on my laptop. Is there a way to totally disable it? I'm not using it and therefore I would like to spare my battery runtime ...

    Thanks,
    Frank

I think your talking about tracker I believe you can remove it in synaptic without any problems.

That worked, thanks. I thought tracker is bundled with the ubuntu-desktop package but it's not
