Same as for a while. I kinda want to go back to GNOME or try out KDEMod again though. I feel like I'm run the gammut for minimal and wanna go back to bloated.

when i want to go bloated, i go for bloated apps, like thunar volman and achive-plugin with file-roller. exaile is a nice addition to that pile, as well.

Not a bad idea, really. Although I really do often feel like I should take a whack at KDE. Like somehow I'm missing something there because apparently it's crazy popular.

if you do take a shot at kde, at least try kde3 (slax is great for it). i can't believe what they've done to themselves. superkaramba must have caught someone cheating on his/her spouse.

Eh I'm a traitor. I'm giving Ubuntu a little test period again (we'll see how it goes). GNOME feels comfy and "complete" after my Arching, I admit. Probably because I don't trust myself to know what all I need Still, I don't think I'll stay long. Already it's annihilating my battery.

One nice thing Arch did for me: thanks to the /home partition I'm a lot less concerned about tossing whatever distro on here I fancy.

i went back to ubuntu for about two days after my first arch installation. i didn't last.

you can still try slax as it is primarily a live cd. you can run it in ram so that you can still use your cdrom and it's very fast.
