    I've read your legalese but didn't see anything that indicated I would be subject to the discourtesy mentioned above if I couldn't enter my post in some allotted time. I maintain my position regarding cancellation without warning being unacceptable behavior.

    It's just the way the forum software works. The solution has been given. Either tick/check the "remember me" box, or compose your post in a text editor before pasting it in to the posting box.

    Another option is to take the matter up with the authors and/or maintainers of the forum software. Other than the suggestions that have already been made, there is little point in continuing this discussion.
