Libre Office Question

Hello All,
New to Linux...Anybody got advice to lead me to a good Libre Calc Forum. I've got questions...like where's the add-in for the Developer Tool bar, so I can start seeing if Libre can acomplish VBA code like in excel. I really am hoping this to be possible so I can continue to distance myself from Microsoft. Not to mention the add-in for the Data Analysis Tool pack like in excel.

We shouldn't be sorry that Linux is not Windows nor should be sorry about anything in Linux.

I wish that we could use a not so in your face quote ... maybe "The price of personal computing freedom is time applied to learning and adapting"

Linux will never be Windows or MAC or DOS nor should it be! ...... It's an OS that has both strong and weak points!

Sorry to get off topic here, but I see you (pfeiffep) running Mint14...which edition/desktop are you running? I've got an old/ancient Dell XP I'm thinking of experimenting with Mint14

HP Tower Mint 14 Cinnamon

Also running Ubuntu 13.04 and Win 7

Dell Laptop Mint 14 gnome classic no effects ( this provides quick responses because of no 3D )

Upgraded memory from 512 Mb to 2 Gb making all this possible

Also installed Ubuntu 13.04 gnome session fall back
I believe Ubuntu 13.04 in my laptop is more responsive than Mint (possibly because Mint is on USB 2 Hard Drive)

Depending on what version of Excel you are talking about, you may be able to install it using WINE.

that's a good idea, I have 2010, but i still have 2003. Because I'm so new with Linux, I dont know much about WINE, other than what I've read...I believe WINE allows Windows Programs to operate in the linux environment, but I dont know how, or how to use WNE, and I've read WINE adds the possibility of Malware? Anybody got some good literature about how to use WINE?
