yep. you mean that you have gotten Firefox32 to run but there is no Java plugin right?
I've been having the same problem here. been chasing after this problem for days and when i thought I had finally gotten to smack it down with this method, it slips away yet again. but still gotta thank Kilz though.
That is correct. If you find a way to get it installed, please let me know. I will do the same for you.yep. you mean that you have gotten Firefox32 to run but there is no Java plugin right?

I trust Microsoft as far as I could comfortably spit a dead rat
I'm in my third year at a Lutheran seminary!
I copied and pasted the two lines (one at a time), and now instead of plugin needed, I get a red X, then firefox grays out.

It's working now. The only thing that I did was to reinstall Flash from Kilz's sticky.
Note: I couldn't access a site that I had used before with Flash, so I reinstalled it.Code:sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree lib32nss-mdns

I saw that the soft link was incorrect and fixed it myself, but I still only get the red X when I try to view Java applets. I have used this script for the last 3 versions of ubuntu and it works great, but with Hardy I cannot get it to work and the only thing I can think of that is different is that I installed Fedoras Iced Tea Java for amd64. Could this be causing problems with the 32bit version of Sun Java??
