That's fixed in gnome-shell - 3.7.5-0ubuntu1~raring2 which should build shortly (or you can install gir1.2-nmgtk-1.0 manually).

This is pretty good. I think a workspace switcher would be nice though

And it'll take a while to find all of the new config files so I can start breaking things

Raring will still use GNOME 3.6 because 3.8 isn't released until March and Raring is released in April, so there wouldn't be sufficient time to sync and test all of the changes.

Some of the buttons are AWOL, on the panel.

Maybe they renamed something-or-another, or the paths have changed. I haven't had a chance to dig into it. But, nothing is missing that I care about.

Also, it could be theme related. The theme I'm running is pretty old -- amazing it works at all.

I got rid of the date & time button again. Evidently, the update overwrote my modded "panel.js" file. Anyway, that was my doing...

I'm sure the panel buttons will be back, sooner or later.

    Oops! Should have kept reading.

    Sorry...

    EDIT

Upgraded, and the network button is back. Thanks!

Activities button is still missing -- but the hot corner works. Just saying.

I have a *feeling* the activities button is hiding underneath the apps & places buttons.

    I'm getting into Plank, anyway...

The AMD64 build of gnome-shell-3.7.5-0ubuntu1~raring2 from the GNOME3 staging PPA still doesn't install for me. Looking at the control file, it has a unfulfilled dependency on "libgjs0-libmozjs185-1.0".
However, the version from the ricotz testing ppa does install.

That's because the ricotz testing PPA has migrated to mozjs188 and the GNOME3 Staging PPA has not.

Do not use the Gnome3 Staging PPA and the Ricotz Testing PPA at the same time.

It is fine to use both if you keep your eyes open on updates.

    That's what I've been doing...

I started using the 'open-eyes' method of updating, back when the x-edger's PPA would bork my install, from time-to-time. It was best to check for suitable updates, and apply them accordingly. Blindly upgrading edger's was asking for trouble.

    Speaking of updates...

    Ubuntu 13.04 / Linux 3.8-rc6 / Gnome-Shell 3.7.5 (Staging) / Plank / Conky / ACYL / Chromium Canary

The button icons, on the left-side of the panel are missing, otherwise everything is working fine...
