Post Blurry fonts in FF3 but not in FF2 (same settings)

Hi! Upgraded from Ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04.

Default browser in Ubuntu 7.10 is FF2 and in 8.04 FF3 beta 5.
Fonts in FF3 looks blurry compared to FF2. Spacing between letters in FF3 is smaller, which makes text hard to read.
I´ve taken screenshots to show what I mean.

    FF2: http://luleabs.nu/bilder/sf_bow/firefox2.png
    FF3: http://luleabs.nu/bilder/sf_bow/firefox3.png

My computer is a Dell Inspiron 6000 with a ATI mobility Radeon x300.
Screen is a 15.4" wxga. Resolution used 1680x1050.

Would be happy if someone could assist me with this issue.

Hi, did you check the font settings under Edit>Preferences>Content are the same for both versions?

Then something is probably wrong with the website (EDIT: which is neat apart from that ) you made a screenshot of. Looking at the "14° C" in the weather forecast in the bottom left, there are clearly to different fonts used, not just different spacing or antialiasing.
