Ya know, I had to get up really early today to have my carpet cleaned so I planned on going to bed early last night. The last thing I did at 8:45 was check the IRC channel and think to myself, "Wow, there's nobody talking and it's meeting time".

That'll teach me to mix up my days.

Should we try a different meeting time? 8pm on a weeknight might not be the best for some; we might see some more people at other times. Going to look around to see what other teams have done.

I wouldn't object to a Sunday meeting time. If the plan is for the meeting to be on the weekend, then as you said, Friday and Saturday probably would not be good days. Late Sunday evening will probably be the most reasonable time in which people will be around.

I see a problem with too late on Sunday... people need to get up early on Monday for work, school, what have you.

I do as well. Late Sunday evening, i.e. around 7:30pm or 8:00pm. I'm sure most people wouldn't want an 10:00pm or 11:00pm meeting on any day of the week. If it's on a Friday or Saturday, on a personal level, I'll probably be drunk. If I happen to remember the meeting I can't imagine being a great deal of help.

I don't think we'd have to have it late on Sunday. Could try 6 or 7 before all of the Sunday night TV shows start.
