Is it possible I reentally installed mint whilst I wait to get more ram
and lost some important files at the same time (not related) and they are in a deja dup backup but i have no idea how to access them

Did you try using deja dup to restore your files?
Personally I dont like using backup programs. I prefer to do my backups manually. So, as far as advice goes, this is as much as i can provide you.

No i dident but im on mint now would i need to reinstall ubuntu just to get them back?
Cant you install deja dup on mint?
