disk space

i have started using ubuntu in dual boot made for last few days . but today when i was booting it a message appeared

GDM could not write a new authorization entry to disk. possibly out of disk space error : no disk space left

i am not able to boot ubuntu

cud some one solve the problem?
i am new to ubuntu.

Do:

ctl+alt+F2

login at the prompt then type:

sudo apt-get clean

i am new to ubuntu.
Try to use this free disk space management soft. Hope it'll help in this case...
