    13.04 doesn't work network after installing

    clearly speaking this MB has old chipset - intel i865, but I set firmware-linux-nonfree too. I cheked /etc/network/interfaces; restart interfaces; network-manager; check - lshw -C network
    check /var/log/syslog; dmesg - I hadn't find any errors, but

    ping 192.168.215.17 (gateway) doesn't pass. address: 192.168.215.30/16 dns-nameservers 192.168.215.17 127.0.0.1 dns-search workgroup


    the task is decided. It wasn't OS problem.

    Moved to Networking & Wireless.
    Bringing old hardware back to life. About problems due to upgrading.

    Could you post the results of some of your checks?
    In particular, sudo lshw -C network and ifconfig -a
