dynamic dns alias or host
To access my PC from outside my network I have to use a dynamicdns service, as virginmedia love changing my ip address...
The service gives me a url, such as xxx.dynamicdns.com, however its quite long and unmemorable.
I was wondering if there was a way of linking this to a shorter word, like an alias, in the CLI, i.e. ssh me@ddns
I tried using the /etc/hosts, but that only seems to work when you know your ip address, which I wont, as such.
